TÜV SÜD is holding a free webinar on the topic of the EU regulations governing olive oil trading and labelling. The webinar will be held on 5 July at 4 pm SGT. In the webinar, Filippo Venturi, Technical Director of Food, Health & Beauty, pH s.r.l., a subsidiary of TÜV SÜD will share on the test processes and product certification for olive oil.
The European Union has established strict rules for olive oil trading and labelling. As such, olive oils are subject to specific test methods and certification. In addition to a number of chemical analyses, olive oils are tested by experienced tasters, a process known by experts as organoleptic testing or sensory analysis. The webinar, which will be held in English, will address the relevant EU regulations and focus on olive oil tests like organoleptic testing and their requirements.
