TÜV SÜD and Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) have signed an agreement on certification cooperation in the field of electrical devices. Manufacturers will benefit from this cooperation, as it facilitates access of their products to the global market.
The agreement between TÜV SÜD and KTR covers the main scope of services including certification and testing for mutual recognition of test results by KTR and TÜV SÜD's subsidiaries, Munich-based TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH and TÜV SÜD PSB PTE. Ltd. in Singapore. This encompasses approval and registration under the CPS scheme in Singapore, TÜV mark and KC mark certification and EMC certificate in Korea. To achieve this, TÜV SÜD and KTR will not only focus on product testing, but also make initial and routine factory inspections.
Manufacturers and distributors intending to launch their electrical devices on the Korean market can now do so faster and more efficiently, without having to send samples of their products to Korea for testing to apply for a KC and RRA certificate. On the other hand, this agreement provides the same services for Korean manufacturers, aiming to access European and Singapore markets.
