The scheme can provide an international Certificate of Conformity (CoC) that requires manufacturers to successfully complete necessary audits.
One audit is testing and assessment of samples for compliance with IEC Standards. This gives you a Test and Assessment Report (ExTR). Another is assessment and auditing of manufacturers’ facilities and quality system. This results in a Quality Assessment Report (QAR). Like the ATEX Directive for the European market, a QAR consists of an ISO 9001 assessment plus an additional assessment according ISO/IEC 80079-34 Edition 1.
Both audits can be combined in one single combi-audit, with ongoing surveillance audits of your facilities and quality system.
The IECEx Certified Equipment Scheme operates an online certificate system. All ‘electronic certificates’ issued are maintained on the IECEx website. This enables full public access for viewing and printing.
For countries that don’t accept the IECEx CoC but require national certification or approval, a fast-track process is available. If you’re an ex-equipment manufacturer seeking an IECEx CoC, you can apply to TÜV SÜD. We’re an IECEx Certification Body.
With us as your partner, you can be sure your equipment is safe and ready to gain access to markets around the world.
