White Paper: Building Information Modeling

Increased project safety and improved profitability for building owners and investors

Abstract:

Delays and cost overruns. Accidents and safety issues. Inefficient site management and project planning. These are some of the common construction challenges plaguing engineers, project owners, contractors, and design firms. Building Information Modeling or BIM is designed to solve them all. Revolutionizing the AEC industry, BIM is a collaborative and software-based design process that enables better coordination and communication within the project team and integrates the entire construction value chain. It uses an intelligent digital prototype of the building that provides the team with relevant insights and information throughout the building’s life cycle.
