Technical Regulation for Electric Batteries, RTE INEN 105, Resolution 14271, 2014 has been put in force starting Feb 08, 2015. It establishes multiple standards for electric batteries, including the:
- Product and labeling requirements
- Conformity assessment tests
- Inspection and sampling of documents
- Monitoring authority
Cylindrical, square or rectangle electric batteries, with exception to button cell batteries, must comply with this Technical Regulation. It determines the various national and international standards electric batteries are based on, namely NTE INEN 807-1, NTE INEN 807-2, NTE INEN ISO 2859-1, and ISO/IEC 17067.
