TÜV SÜD and the Standards Institution of Israel (SII) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the facilitation of trade with Israel on 23 September 2013 in Munich.
In phase one, starting 23 September 2013, the cooperation is focused on the mutual acceptance of tests and certificates in several product categories. TÜV SÜD and SII plan to extend their cooperation to all their activities. Under this agreement, the two partners undertake to work towards the acceptance of each other's test results in several product categories, including electrical and electronic devices, electrical bicycles, batteries and toys.
In phase two, the cooperation will focus on the mutual acceptance of tests for the energy efficiency scheme. Starting 1 May 2014, TÜV SÜD reports will be acceptable by SII directly under the energy efficiency rating label scheme for Household appliances, Office appliances, Lighting, etc.
