On 10 May 2016, CQC implemented the latest standard, CQC11-462196-2016: Safety certification rules for Connection set of conductive charging for electric vehicles (Charging coupler), to replace CQC11-462196-2012.
Below are the main requirements of the latest standard:
|1.|| ||Certified products involved: Connection set of conductive charging for electric vehicles (029001)|
|2.|| ||Standard requirement:|
| ||2.1||Standards to be complied with: GB/T20234.1-2015, GB/T20234.2-2015, GB/T20234.3-2015|
| ||2.2||From the date of the publication of this notification, the applicant shall comply with the latest standards to apply for the certificate.|
| ||2.3||Manufacturers with the current certificate should submit an application to update the certificate and take the differential test. CQC will issue a new test report and certificate to cover the latest standards. The renewal of certificates should be completed by 1 May 2017. If the certificates are not transferred on time, they would be postponed. If they fail to be replaced before 1 May 2018, the products will be withdrawn.|
|3.|| ||Major revision between old and new standards:|
| ||3.1||The rated current of AC Charging coupler has been modified up to 63A while the voltage of DC Charging coupler has been modified up to 1000VDC.|
| ||3.2||A separate application should be submitted for vehicles, mains and charging couplers as the Certification rules does not apply.|
| ||3.3||Standard version has been updated from GB/T20234.1-2011, GB/T20234.2-2011, GB/T20234.3-2011 to GB/T20234.1-2015, GB/T20234.2-2015, GB/T20234.3-2015.|
| ||3.4||Product description has been defined in the certification requirement of critical components: appliance switch, charging cable, etc.|
New application can be submitted through Dept. 4 of CQC.
