On 15 June 2015, the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) published its 16th edition of the AAFA Restricted Substances List (RSL)  that covers apparel, footwear, travel goods, home textiles, and other fashion accessories.
The RSL includes only those materials, chemicals and substances that are restricted or banned in the final products and it does not include restricted substances used in production processes or in the factory. Major changes  to this edition of the RSL include:
- Addition of a new Chinese mandatory standard for children’s footwear – GB 30585-2014 (applicable from 1 January 2016);
- Updated the reference to the EU regulation on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases from Regulation (EC) No 842/2006 to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014;
- Removed the Belgian regulation on Dimethyl fumrate;
- Updated Appendix I to include the 6 SVHCs added to the REACH Candidate List in December 2014.
