The 15th public consultation of the REACH Candidate List will end on 14 April 2016. Four substances have been proposed for inclusion as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs).
The four substances include two camphor derivatives, one polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) and one phthalate. In the proposed four substances, Dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP) was previously withdrawn from the SVHC process in 2015. All interested parties are invited to submit their comments on DCHP again in this new SVHC process.
If all the four proposed substances are identified as SVHCs, they will be included in the Candidate List, which is expected to be updated in June 2016. The Candidate List will then have 172 SVHCs.
Table A gives the substance name, identification numbers (CAS and EC), the reason for proposing and the potential application(s).
