Taiwan Bureau of Energy finalised an announcement No.10404604470, 2015 on 21 September 2015, regarding the minimum energy performance, labelling and inspection requirements for chilled-warm-hot drinking water dispensers. The purpose is to promote the energy conservation of these types of products as defined in CNS 13516.
The announcement sets out the testing methods used for establishing the 24-hour product energy consumption, the calculation method of the minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) and the energy consumption rate and energy efficiency labelling requirements. It indicates the label dimension shall be 100 mm long, 70 mm width, containing the product name, model number, rated water storage capacity for hot water system, annual electricity consumption (kWh) and other information as designated by the Central Competent Authority.
This announcement is approved and will enter into force on 1 December 2016.
