A standard has been developed by a multidisciplinary and international group of experts from the Certification Management Systems division (MS) and Car Business Services division (CBS) to serve as a guidance for integral quality, environmental and labour risks certifications systems focused in quality service of vehicle repair workshops. In addition, an agreement with ALD Automotive Spain has been signed to certify the workshops within its network according to Standard TÜV SÜD MS CBS: 2017 in addition to ALD’s specific requirements.
The objective of the standard is to serve as a guidance for integral quality, environmental and labour risks certifications systems focused in quality service of vehicle repair workshops. A vehicle repair workshop complying with the standard’s requirements will improve its performance to offer a superior quality service.
The standard is based on 2 module types: general modules and specific modules
The general modules shall be complied by all shops willing to opt for the certification and contain the basic requirements that every integral quality, environmental and labour risk management system shall comply while specific requirements which are particular to the workshop’s activity.
General modules consider topics such as service management, human resources, support processes, management of client satisfaction, guarantees and complaints, environmental management and management of labour risk prevention. General modules require the workshop to comply with the applicable legislation in terms of quality, environment, risk prevention etc. and TÜV SÜD will verify its compliance on a random basis.
Specific modules contain the minimum requirements that shall be complied regarding bodywork, Painting, electrical-electronics, mechanical, spare parts management, authorization process and car manufacturing maintenance areas. Specific modules will apply based on the individual activity and wishes of each workshop.
ALD has developed additional specific requirements for its net that will be audited together with TÜV SÜD MS CBS standard. The ALD Requirements are related to correspondence among the final appointment and the appointment in ALD system, punctuality in the repair start, authorization process, repair duration, notification of the end of repair, guarantees, information to client, billing deadline, notifications about repairs with guarantee, spare parts management, facilities, holiday closing notification and S.L.A. compliance.
After the audit, successful competition TÜV SÜD will submit a certificate to the corresponding workshop and it could start using TÜV SÜD’s service certification mark as a symbol of service warranty for ist clients.
In case of ALD net, compliance with additional ALD requirements will also be included.
