TÜV SÜD acquires British Wallace Whittle Holdings Ltd.

TÜV SÜD has acquired the British Wallace Whittle Holdings Ltd, a leading British building services engineering and sustainability consultancy. The acquisition supports TÜV SÜD´s continued focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Wallace Whittle employs 135 experienced and technically qualified staff at offices in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Ireland and Abu Dhabi.

Founded on a successful track record spanning over 40 years, Wallace Whittle have built up a wealth of experience and expertise in state-of-the-art and cost effective building services as well as renewable and low carbon energy strategies. “The extensive knowledge of all aspects of sustainable design, energy conservation, carbon emissions reduction, and water conservation, complements TÜV SÜD’s existing expertise in renewable energy technologies”, said Karsten Xander, member of the Board of TÜV SÜD AG. The transaction also expands TÜV SÜD Real Estate Division’s geographical reach to both the United Kingdom and the Middle East, creating the opportunity for further development in these markets.


Wallace Whittle offers mechanical, electrical and air conditioning consultancy services to the construction industry including retail, health, data centre, education and commercial sectors, and are fully qualified in all aspects of BREEAM and LEED Certification.
