Manufacturers wishing to use the Bluetooth® logo on any product or packaging can often overlook the need to ensure that their Bluetooth® products are properly qualified and comply with the Bluetooth® license agreements.
To make use of the world-recognised Bluetooth® logo, and to take advantage of the benefits, you must complete a Product Listing and Declaration of Compliance.
If you are using a module that has already gone through Bluetooth® SIG Qualification and has not been modified, you need to complete a Product Listing for the end product.
If you are using a module that has been modified or has not gone through Bluetooth® SIG Qualification, then the module needs to go through the required Bluetooth® SIG testing process at a Bluetooth® SIG approved test facility before you complete the Product Listing.
TÜV SÜD’s partner lab in the UK, Sharp Telecommunications, is a listed Bluetooth® SIG Qualification Test Facility and is able to carry out the required testing for certifying Bluetooth® products. The testing is supported by full Bluetooth® Qualification Expert (BQE) services to aid the complete testing and certification process.
