Radio Equipment Directive - now the only route to compliance
As of 13th June 2017, the new European Union Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU fully replaces the old Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (R&TTE). After this date, radio and telecoms equipment compliant with the R&TTE Directive may no longer be placed on the market within the European Union, as the RED is now the required method to show compliance.
EN 300 328 - changes to wideband testing requirements
EN 300 328 is used to demonstrate compliance with Section 3.2 of the European Union’s Radio Equipment Directive (RED), covering wideband data transmission equipment, such as WiFi, Bluetooth and Zigbee devices, which operate in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz ISM band.
