With the requirements of the CSM RA Regulation 402/2013/EU accreditation is a means for operating as Assessment Body. TÜV SÜD Danmark is the first – and so far only – Danish Company to be accredited by DANAK (the Danish Accreditation Body).
TÜV SÜD achieved this precious status after thorough preparation (expanding of existing management system to meet the requirements of EN/ISO 17020) and a DANAK audit in January which completed the process on 17th April by granting the accreditation.
This accreditation as an Assessment Body (AsBo) adds to our existing accreditation as Notified Body (NoBo) for interoperability constituents and subsystems – for which TÜV SÜD Danmark so far is also the only company accredited by DANAK.
These accreditations are a quality stamp demonstrating that TÜV SÜD meets the necessary quality criteria to perform safety assessment activities on the European Railway market. This gives the customers a larger confidence in achieving the targeted and expected quality level for its projects. At the same time it ensures that processes with the National Safety Authority (NSA) will
run smoother as many of the quality issues that could concern the NSA have been eliminated.
As Safety Assessors and the Safety Management System have been evaluated and will be audited on an annual base by DANAK there is no need for the NSA to spend any time on these processes during the project execution.
