In USA the DOE published a regulation for testing of ‘Integrated LED lamps‘ (basically self ballasted LED lamps) and amended: - 429.12 Filing requirements - 429.33 Ceiling fan light kits with SSL/LED lamps - 429.56 Integrated LED lamps o Sampling, represented values, rounding of values o Certification reports must bear the NVLAP identification number
- 430.3 New standards incorporated by reference o IES LM-84-14, IEC TM-28-14, ANSI/IES RP-16-10 - 430.23 Test procedures for the measurement of energy and water consumption - 430.25 Laboratory accreditation program o ILAC laboratories are acceptable for testing - 430 Appendix BB to Subpart B of Part 430 — Uniform Test Method for Measuring the Input Power, Lumen Output, Lamp Efficacy, Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), Color Rendering Index (CRI), Power Factor, Time to Failure, and Standby Mode Power of Integrated Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Lamps o With references to LM-79, LM84, TM-28, IEC 62301 o Details for test set-up, measurements, calculations
This test method shall be used for making performance claims and Energy Efficiency Labels claims under FTC 16CRF 305. This will be effective from 1 August 2016.
Note: This regulation does not set limits to LED lamps and will be handled in a separate amendment which is currently under discussion and may only be known in 2017, with effect in 2020.
